COUNTER CURRENT EXTRACTION SYSTEM - SOLD

This Counter current Extraction system has now been dismantled and removed as space was needed for ongoing operations.

Previously used for removing the colour from grape juice -

The feed conveyors have load cells fitted where the product is dropped through hoppers into two 1200 mm diameter stainless steel screws 10 metres in length running through inclined stainless steel hot water jackets. The screws are counter rotating whereby they are programmed to run in one direction for a prescribed time and then in the opposite direction of rotation for a prescribed time. This action is the initial separation process of the solids from the liquids and the liquids are drained at the lowest point.
